Aaron Newman is an entrepreneur, explorer, and veteran who brings together business acumen, technological innovation, and a passion for discovery. His adventures have taken him all around the world and beyond. He was the 717th person to pass the Karman Line into space, the 24th person to descend to Challenger Deep, has visited the stern of theTitanic, and has attempted to summit Mount Everest twice. Additionally, in his pursuit of furthering ocean exploration, Aaron has led underwater archaeological expeditions across four continents.
Outside of his work in exploration, Aaron has founded six successful startups - CloudCheckr, Cloud Storage Sec, SecureCloudDb, Technology, Application Security, Inc., and DbSecure. Aaron understands how to build organizations, leverage technology, and create lasting impact.
Aaron proudly served in the U.S. Army during the First Gulf War, bringing discipline, leadership, and a mission-focused mindset to his exploration work. Aaron currently serves as a trustee of:
Strong National Museum of Play: Preserving the importance of play in learning and development; and
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS): Supporting families of fallen military service members
